Let’s Collaborate:
Thoughtful imagery begins with meaningful collaboration, and my process is designed to support the unique goals, priorities, and character of each space.
Discovery begins with a conversation where we get to know one another and learn about the people and intentions behind the project. This stage is an opportunity to establish visual priorities, discuss timelines and publication opportunities, and ensure the final images reflect the broader story you are looking to tell.
Scouting and scoping help establish the visual and practical needs of each project. Whenever possible, spaces are reviewed in advance to evaluate lighting conditions, spatial flow, styling needs, and key perspectives, allowing for clearer expectations and a more efficient shoot day.
Photography sessions are collaborative and detail-oriented, balancing technical precision with flexibility and intuition. Throughout the day, I’ll work closely with the project team to refine compositions, adjust styling, and respond thoughtfully to the natural rhythm of the space and light.
Post-production is an essential part of constructing imagery that translates the experience of the space naturally through the camera. Final images are carefully refined through layered exposures, tonal balancing, perspective correction, and detailed retouching.
Final high-resolution images are delivered through a private online gallery for download and use across websites, portfolios, social media, editorial submissions, and marketing materials. Licensing details for my images are provided for all projects to ensure clear and intentional usage.
My Process:
-
Spaces often feel smaller and flatter through the lens than in person.
Lens choice and camera position dramatically affect how scale and depth are perceived.
Small shifts in perspective can change the visual balance and feeling of a room.
Layering elements help create a greater sense of depth.
The goal is to translate the space in a way that feels natural and true.
-
Natural-looking light is often carefully shaped.
Small shifts in light dramatically affect atmosphere.
Softening, redirecting, and balancing light helps spaces feel natural photographically.
Editorial imagery is often built from many exposures and subtle adjustments.
The goal is to preserve the experience of the space.

The fee provides non-exclusive, unlimited, and perpetual rights. A non-exclusive licensing allows you (the licensee) to use the images for your own purposes, while I (the licensor) retain full rights to the work and may also license it to additional parties. Licensed imagery may be used across all marketing platforms, including websites, social media, and general marketing collateral. No image sharing with other parties permitted without proper licensing - please direct all inquiries to Amanda.

Stylists aren't required, but I love working with them — they bring an added creative dimension that genuinely elevates your images. Because pre-production matters to me, I may recommend one based on your project goals, and I have several wonderful ones to refer you to.
-
If getting your project published is the goal, pre-planning is everything. A strong story, intentional styling, and compelling imagery all work together to make it happen — and I love talking through all of this before we even pick up a camera. I occasionally offer a per-placement PR service, and I also have a handful of wonderful, top-rated PR agencies I trust and love to refer clients to, with incredible editorial connections.

I encourage cost-sharing whenever multiple parties could benefit from a shoot. Adding participants significantly reduces the cost for each party while increasing visibility and the overall value of the project.
For every additional party licensing images, a 30% fee is added to the total invoice, which is then divided evenly among all participating parties.
Common cost-sharing participants include architects, general contractors, vendors, craftspeople and other collaborators.
My commissioning client retains creative control over the shoot, and first rights to sharing any project images.
Each party must agree to the cost-sharing model prior to contract signing and booking.
Each party then receives access to the full set of licensed images from the shoot.
-
My image licenses provide non-exclusive for general marketing use.
A non-exclusive license allows the licensee to use the images for their own purposes, while I (the licensor) retain full rights to the work and may also license it to additional parties.
Licensed imagery may be used across all marketing platforms, including websites, social media, and general marketing collateral.
Image sharing is not permitted with other parties without proper licensing.

Hiring a stylist is not required, but working with a trusted stylist truly enhances the photo shoot day, and the final results. Stylists bring an added creative eye that will elevate your work, and my images
Pre-production chats are essential, and during that time I would love to recommend a trusted interior photo stylist based on your project goals.
